Film Room: Keith Young – Bishop McDevitt (Philadelphia) – RB – Class of 2012

Don’t look now, but after two games, Bishop McDevitt running back Keith Young is staking his claim as one of the best running backs in the Philadelphia Catholic league. I saw some flashes of his potential during a preseason game. Early on, it seems like he is living up to that potential and then some.

In his first two games, Young has amassed 374 rushing yards off of 50 carries (7.4 ypc) and four touchdowns.  He is clearly McDevitt’s best offensive weapon and after watching a few games it’s not a surprise. Young has everything you’d like to have in a running back. He possesses a great amount of speed, makes great cuts, has nice balance, and is powerful enough to break though tackles.

Young seems to be on his way to a super senior season. Here are some clips from his first week game against Lower Moreland.
